2008: 44. The Tuesday Club Murders

“‘Unsolved mysteries.’

Raymond West blew out a cloud of smoke with a kind of deliberate self conscious please.

‘Unsolved mysteries.’”

The Tuesday Club Murders, Agatha Christie

This has always been one of my favorites.  The premise is that six or seven people are sitting around telling mystery stories, and guessing the answer.  Even though they don’t even think that little old Miss Marple would want to participate, she (of course) ends up solving every single one.  EVERY one.  So fun to see Miss Marple kick everyone’s asses, and the little mysteries are quite good too, for short story mysteries.  But mostly I like the joke that every time only Miss Marple can figure out the answers.  Hee!
